On our way down we took a little walk to the lodge and Ben spotted an Elk and Ali, Ben and Mom were all trying to talk to it, then Kimmie comes up to the elk, about 20 ft away, and says “Hey You!” and right then and there the elk turns right around and looked straight at her… She’s an elk whisperer, she’s confessed.
We also took a walk called The Rim Trail, but we kinda made it into a hike because we kept going off track and on to Huge rocks off the sides of the cliffs at Grand Canyon. It was super fun and we learned that if you throw a rock into the pit of the Grand Canyon, that every second the rock goes down is 200 ft, and we waited 7 seconds!!
After we go to ice cream and have a lovely campfire, then off to bed. :)
