Survivor: Seeing “Crazy Horse”(Day 39)

Yes we did see a rock carving that called Crazy Horse, but it wasn’t a horse it was an Indian that was named Crazy Horse, weird right?!?

Anyway we are heading home through the Badlands, fun stuff! It kinda looks like Bryce and Grand Canyon put together, but still not as stunning. Another really cool thing that we saw was Bison literally 3 ft away from us, TOO COOl!

Home, that word sounds really nice right now. I miss you all, but we will see you soon :) Eating at a Mexican resturant! Yummie that means tacos…

Survivor: Leaving Wyoming(Day 38)

Well last night Kimmie drove while Mom her and I talked, finally we stopped a Walmart for our camp sight, I think I like this one the best! But if you have to go to the bathroom you’d have to go have way across the parking lot to get to the Walmart.

Well now were driving 7 hours to get to Mt. Rushmore and will be driving all day and then getting to Rushmore later maybe even not stopping. Meaning that we’ll get home faster than we thought we would have been. Maybe not though.

Mt. Rushmore was amazing! And we now are staying at a camp sight that is very nice, WITH SHOWERS!! YAY.

Survivor: Tower Falls(Day 37)

Today we will go to a place called Lamar Valley, which is the place that I told you about before with the wolves. The wolves were released here, so maybe we’ll be able to see some of them today, wouldn’t that be cool!?!

Another thing that we’re doing is going to the Tower Falls, which look like a huge waterfall. Which was just lovely.

Okay we also saw Bison being chased by a bear, the bear was just like “hey, what’s up.” not really caring about anything around him, especially the bison. And the bear did this about 4 times before the bison said “okay this guy is scaring me,” and run away. AHHH it was so cool, I loved it!!

And now we’re gonna look at more wild life in the valley. Okay so right now as I’m speaking to you, I am looking a white wolf, female, and she is laying in the grass, oh now she is walking toward a small herd of prong horned deer. Now she is laying down again, and when ever she looks up the light catches on her fur and it’s so beautiful. AHHHH I’M FREAKING LOOKING AT A WOLF!!! YAY! And the funny story about how we saw these beautiful creatures, we walk up to these people with, I’d say, a $7000 telescope, and they ask us “Have you seen both of them?” and we’re just like “What are we looking at, we just got here?” Then the lady and her husband explained to us that they are looking at wolves, yes 2 a male and his mate, but we only saw one. So we’re looking and looking through our tiny binoculars and this older man comes up to us and says “Do you want to see a wolf?” and we gladly accept! So through a $7000 telescope we look at a white wolf!! This is so cool.

After this we’re going to have dinner which will be beef stew, good eats, and a fire by the water, a river actually. And oh yeah we haven’t found a camp ground yet so we’re having dinner in a park picnic area. Good night :)

Survivor: Rapids(Day 36)

Today we are going to look at Paint Pots, which are pools of chalky white mud that are bubbling from the heat below them. An other fun thing to see, oh I can’t wait, it looks really cool in the picture on the front of the brochure.

About ten minutes ago, my fam and Kimmie were in the water playing and swimming for the first time we’ve been on this trip. Oh it was wonderful, I missed swimming and I couldn’t wait to do it again, but I don’t think that I can do it until we get home. Oh well it was a good day, and a fun one too. I had a wonderful time, and I’m sure everyone else had a great time too.

Your Timing Is Impeccable :)

Survivor: Brucie’s Eyes(Day 35)

Today we have taken a short hike that is called Norris Basin, named after the man that found it in 1877. Which led us to these beautiful blue pools, with each one having a different name, but the second I saw them I thought of Brucie Ebersole’s eyes. Oh they we’re so lovely, and they’re main ingredient was Silica, which is the main ingredient in glass. My fav pool was named Glassy Spring, and that was the one that looked most like Brucie’s eyes.

The other pools had rusty looks to them, and some green and others yellow. Hot springs were everywhere and I was happy I was not the person that had to make the boards that you had to walk on to stay out of the pot wholes and hot springs.

Got to talk to my dad on the phone, then again we will be moving to a new camp sight, I haven’t gotten to tell you about this but we’ve been switching camp sights every single day that we’ve been in Yellowstone, Wyoming. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll be able to stay in the same one for a day or 2…

We also saw a grizzly bear and two cubs!! they were so cute :)

For dinner we will have pasta with parma rosa sauce, that’s good stuff! :)

Survivor: The Geyser Field(Day 34)

Today we have gone to look at the Geysers in the Field of Geysers and pool and hot spring, and do you remember the Ranger, Darlene Bos, I told you about before, we found out that she was leading a tour so we tagged along behind her and we loved every moment of listening to her. We learned a lot about the Geysers and all the mud pools, it was really cool and interesting.

Tonight we will be going to an other talk by Darlene, but this time it will be about fire… YES!! I can’t wait it’s gonna be so cool, and I think that I’m even like it more because she’s saying it.

After that we’re gonna have Corndogs cooked on tinfoil for dinner, wonder how this will play out. MM-MM GOOD!
