Survivor: Hoo-Doo’s(Day 17)

Did you know that there are two meanings of the word Hoo-Doo? 1st meaning, is a large orange-ish colored rock that is made to turn into a new and taller/skinnier form every year. When ice freezes on top of a Hoo-Doo and expands the Hoo-Doo changes form until the rock is to hard for the ice to expand it any more.

2nd meaning, Voo-Doo. And the wonderful reason why the word Hoo-Doo means Voo-Doo, it is because the ancient peoples said that these rocks looked like magical beings and glories unimaginable.

Later that night we looked at the stars with a bunch of other people, we also looked at the Moon, Saturn and Mars.

Unfortunately I could only stay for alittle bit, because I became very sick, my Mom took me back to the camper and took care of me while Ben, Ali and Kimmie all listened to a guide tell them alittle bit about the stars, (Kimmie told me later the next day how cool it was!!) Mom read me Tom Sawyer, and though it felt like it hurt t listen to, I enjoyed it very much and I’m liking Tom the more she reads…
